It's Derby Time Again! We had ours on the 12th of March.
Here are some of the cars. We had 11 enteries. At the right is our new aluminum track with a timer. That sure makes it easier for the judges. We placed the track on 5 tables so the audience could see better. We have the audience sit on the stage and the Cubs have the floor. The Cubs love climbing on the table to put their car on the starter. Then they run to the end to see if they win! We make sure each Cub races every other car. Chuck made little wooden cars for each boy that we placed on their certificate. The three winners got a trophy and the others got a LARGE Hershey bar. Fun was had by all. We had a relish tray and rice crispies squares for the Cubs and the same thing on the stage for the audience. We put their name on the
Cub's plate so they could leave it when they raced.

The other night we turned on our Lava Lamp. Do you remember them?
I love seeing when the wax first bursts up. As you can see we are easily entertained! I remember our first TV. It was a little 13 inch black and white. The instructions were to sit 25 feet away, which we didn't as we didn't have a frontroom that long. Then to have a lamp on the TV so as to not hurt your eyes. My, haven't we changed?! Many people had a Lava lamp, which was very expensive at the time.

After looking at this sign I wondered how many handicapped people would be riding a motorcycle! It could happen I suppose. If they did where would they park? I love signs. They can be a lot of fun. In the woods of Kentucky, in a remote area is a cemetary and the sign just before you get to it says; Snake Crossing. I wonder how many snakes used that crossing. Have a great day and put some laughter in it.
